Conclusion

 

81% of newborns in Indonesia die from complications and diseases during pregnancy and birth: 44% during pregnancy, 19% at birth, and 18% congenital abnormalities. This is despite the fact that 95% of pregnancies and births are supervised by a competent and expert professional.

With the 'turnRNAround' project, our foundation wants to ensure that these figures become the same as those in the Netherlands. No newborn, anywhere, needs to die unnecessarily if it is preventable!
